Curly up do on a dolls head

I am happy with the final look of this updo.

For this I separated the hair in to two sections. (The top half of the hair and the bottom half). With the bottom half I tied it and back combed it then secured it into a bun shape with grips. I then curled the top half the hair using straighteners. Once I had curled the top half of the hair I back combed the hair to give it a quiff at the front I then smoothed out the hair and began to secure it around the bun underneath the curls. I secured all the top half of the hair around the bun leaving some of the curls loose to make the bun bigger and fuller.

This was my first attempt at this updo and I am very pleased with the finishing look that I got!

Grey hair

Finally got grey hair!😍

To achieve this look I had a full head of 3% bleach to lighten my hair up enough  so that the grey would take on my hair.

The 5 shades of grey hair colour by Affinage was then used in the shades Onyx and Silver. Onyx was used on my roots and the silver was used on the rest of my hair to create an ombre affect.

The final look was achieved using curlers along side blow out spray, frizz serum and hairspray by Label M.

I can happily say I love with my hair!

Highlights and Fullhead colour finished with a Blow-dry

This was my first colour completed at Capelli hairdressers.

For this look I used a medium to fine weave for the highlights which were a finger gap apart through the parting. The colour for this was L'Oreal 900. I then completed the full head colour using L'Oreal 8.3 to give a full coverage of all the greys on the client.

Once I had washed off the colour I used Label M products to help with the blow-dry to give more volume to the final look. I used a round brush to create this straight blow-dry.

I was very pleased with the final look as it was the first colour I had done on a client after weeks of practicing on a dolls head.

Blonde/Grey hair

Recently I had my hair changed from brown fading into a warm blonde, into light blonde fading into grey. My initial goal was for it all to be grey but due to my hair being darker on top the bleach wasn't able to be on my top layers long enough for it to lighten up fully without it snapping off. As a result of this I have a very light blonde running  though out my hair.

I use clynol purple shampoo and leave it in for as long as possible, (usually around 1-2 hours) so that there are no brassy tones in my hair and to try and to add purply tones into my hair.

I had this look done at Capelli on Ecclsall road in Sheffield.

Blow-drying and Straightening

I have just started a Hairdressing Apprenticeship at Capelli, completing my level 2 in Hairdressing. I used my sister as a model and blow-dryed and straightened her hair.
